You should usually have a dental check-up once every six months. However, this interval may vary depending on your overall oral health. Working together with your dentist will help you decide the appropriate frequency for your check-ups.
What happens during a dental check-up?
A regular check-up is usually divided into two different parts: the main examination of your teeth and mouth, and the cleaning procedure.
Your dentist will examine each individual tooth for possible signs of decay or damage and identify the early stages of any potential future problems.
After the teeth have been examined, the gums are checked. The second part of your dental check-up includes a thorough cleaning of the teeth.
At our clinic, teeth cleaning is carried out in three stages and is performed painlessly using ultrasound, hand scalers, polishing paste, as well as the specialised EMS system. The estimated duration of the procedure is approximately 60 minutes.
