Is it time to perfect the appearance of your teeth and achieve a beautiful smile?

In aesthetic dentistry, two of the most common treatments aimed at improving the smile are restorations with porcelain veneers and composite veneers. Both methods are an ideal solution for:

  • Closing gaps between the teeth.
  • Restoring broken teeth.
  • Improving the shape of the teeth.
  • Improving the size of the teeth.
  • Improving the colour of the teeth.

Porcelain veneers are thin “shells” made of ceramic material, similar to contact lenses, which are fabricated in a dental laboratory. They can deliver an excellent aesthetic result and offer long-lasting durability, as their material does not wear down or discolour.

Porcelain veneers closely resemble natural teeth, both in shape and colour. They are also a minimally invasive method, as they do not require significant intervention on your natural teeth.

At our clinic, the procedure is completed in two appointments, approximately ten days apart. During the first appointment, the teeth are prepared and impressions are taken. During the second appointment, the veneers fabricated in the specialised laboratory are placed.

It is worth noting that they have a higher cost than composite veneers and must be replaced if they break.

Composite veneers, also known as bonding, are thin composite resin restorations that are built onto the front surface of the anterior teeth. Alternatively, they may be prefabricated from resin and treated with laser, in which case they are bonded onto the teeth.

Their purpose is to immediately improve the shape, colour and size of the teeth. Usually, only one appointment is required to complete the dental procedure, as well as to repair them if they break. For this reason, they are a more affordable and faster solution.

Crowns

A crown is a method of tooth restoration, specially designed for cases where teeth have lost a significant portion of their dental substance, either due to fracture, decay, or extensive wear and tear, or denervated teeth that have lost their vitality and are prone to fracture.

Onlays – Inlays

When a large portion of a tooth is lost due to decay, fracture, or other cause and restoration with a simple filling is not possible, choosing inlays or onlays is an excellent solution.
